Are you an adventurous young couple like Anna and Justin? They pretty much told me they’d hike up a mountain to get married during their elopement. Sounded pretty romantic, but I wasn’t sure how that would suit their 4 guests, Romy, their celebrant from A Beautiful Ceremony, Ros, their photographer from Couple Photography, or me! – Not that I wouldn’t do anything for my couples. 😉
What did I come up with, was for them to go hiking up mountains in the beautiful and historic area around historic Glendalough, Co Wicklow, the day before their ceremony, but for their wedding, have their ceremony on the edge of the upper lake so they still have the feeling of seclusion and mountains (without exhausting the rest of us). A lakeside wedding in the Wicklow mountains, it was!
Post-ceremony cake and sparkling wine really hit the spot before going for more photos in Glendalough Monastic City.
An impromptu bouquet toss may give us our next couple to elope to Ireland. And the way the photos look, there was fierce competition to actually catch Anna’s bouquet!
And the couple ended the afternoon as most Irish weddings and elopements finish up, with pints of Guinness in the pub.
Congratulations again to Anna and Justin!

Together for 9 years, when K&J got engaged she knew they had to get married in Ireland. Never having been to Ireland before, they trusted the bride’s aunt and uncle who had been to Dingle and LOVED it.
I know our couple loved it too!

K&J from Maine, wanted their elopement to be the trip of a lifetime with just the two of them.
The Dingle peninsula was a priority for them so we planned a fabulous day for them at a castle ruins overlooking Dingle Bay. @Kpaprocki took them all around the peninsula for their photos on a stunning spring day for perfect for Dingle’s perfect scenery
