Romance at an Irish Abbey Ruins

The first day of October 2018 in Kerry was the day Ginna and Zach chose to celebrate their love by Eloping to Ireland, getting married in an ancient abbey ruin. They brought two of their closest friends as witnesses to Killarney  the town known in past times as “Beauty’s Home”. A name given, coming from its unrivalled scenery, endless Kerry mountains, lakes including the famous Lough Leane and the stunning waterfall at Torc. One of Ireland’s most visited locations it never fails to enchant those who visit it from near and afar each year.

Ginna and Zach knew right off the bat that they wanted an outdoor ceremony, somewhere breathtaking beautiful. A ruin perhaps, somewhere that had its own story, somewhere that you could feel the past while standing on its hallowed ground. Just a short distance from the town itself, Ginna was able to make her way to their altar by horse and carriage a popular way to take in the sights of the area. Wrapped in a blanket provided by the horseman, any Fall chills were kept firmly at bay. The day was a fresh bright one staying light later than many other evenings as though the sun was staying up just for them. A huge thank you as always to our wonderful team on the day, celebrant Ray O’Sullivan, hair and makeup by Sean Taaffe, The bouquet of sunflowers just as she wanted by Every Occasion and pictures by K Photography
